Icelandic sheep's wool already provided protection to the Vikings from the harsh Nordic climate back in the days. Icelandic Wool has a special characteristic, it consists of two types of hair: the inner hair is very soft, insulates cold, and therefore, keeps warm. The outer hair is longer, stronger, and water-repellent. This means that with your gloves made of Alafosslopi wool you have cozy, hand-knitted gloves for cold days AND dry hands!
