Knitting needles are traditionally used to knit socks and stockings. But they are also excellent for knitting sleeves of Icelandic sweaters. Because they are longer than the needles at the end of the rope of the circular knitting needles, they fit better in the hand. This makes it easier to knit in tight rounds, especially with slightly stronger hands. So you can use stocking needles for the smooth right part of the sleeves as an option. In addition, you can knit cuffs and collars with stocking needles.
Our Prym double pointed needles made of aluminum are 20 cm long and available in needle sizes from 3.0 to 5.0 mm. Thicker needle sizes are available in plastic, since plastic has a lighter weight than aluminum.
