Kambgarn is especially suited for children’s and baby’s clothing because the wool from merino sheep is particularly soft and fine. Merino wool is essentially both, breathable and insulating. That means it has a cooling effect in summer and gives warmth in winter.
The fiber consists of 85 percent air, which makes it so breathable and delicate as it is. Another special characteristic of the fiber is that the wool does not itch. The merino sheep originates from North Africa and belongs to the so-called fine wool sheep.
